What is an Art & Gather event?

More than an art workshop, an Art & Gather event aims to build connections across the dinner table. By telling the venue’s story and food journey, guests grows in appreciation for the space they’re in, and the honor it is to connect with local community members. They become a participant in the space by creating a painting related to the venue’s food offerings, whether it is a still life of local produce that’s in season or a landscape painting of the place that’s meaningful to the venue. This helps to build awareness of where your food comes from, and how creating something can feel like home.

An Art & Gather event includes:

  • 1.5 hours of instruction (15 minute venue storytelling and 75 minutes of guided painting)

  • 30 minutes of intentional connecting (table questions, quick story share, etc.)

  • Creative ways to stay connected to each other after the event

  • A limited menu from the venue (optional)
